...being authentic...

..what does that mean???

..not false...genuine...trustworthy...

...realiable...dependable...real...faithful...

...who wouldn't want to be authentic and

...who wouldn't want to have authentic people in their lives?

...one of my personal goals this year was to be authentic...

...to be the person you see on the outside as a reflection of who i am on the inside...

...i've blogged before about wearing masks...

...and we all do...

...but i suppose it all comes down to the reason we are hiding behind the mask...

...is it intentional? is it to gain something? to deceive someone? is it merely a way to hide ones true self?

...if you answer yes..well ask yourself...am i being authentic?

. ...am i the same person with everyone?

...obviously we have close friends...family...that we can be whoever we need to be with...

....and we are not going to share all of who we are with merely an acquaintance...or work mate.....but even so...are we authentic in those relationships?

...its a really good challenge and something i try to be aware of consistently...

...i attempt to be the person you see...

...yes i am guarded at times...
...that is not a bad thing...but my intentions are real...
